The first Mercedes-Benz pickup prototype will make its debut till the end of this year. The most likely debut platform for the model is Paris motor show that will be held in October.  It’s supposed that the novelty will be send into the series in 2017.

Commodity pickup Mercedes-Benz will be made on the latest generation’s Nissan Navara platform. According to the preliminary date unlike the <<Japanese>> one that is available only with the 2.3l diesel motor, the <<German>> will be equipped both by petrol and diesel motors. It is likely that the hybrid version will be available later as well.

The producer considers two variants of the name for the serial model – X-class and Z-class. By the way, it is considered that X is more preferable as this name is more associated with the off-road facilities.
