Mercedes-Benz sale decrease in 2024 due to electric vehicles 13.01.2025

Mercedes-Benz car sales core have decreased in 2024 by 3% in annual term resulting  in 1.989.400 units. The decrease of sales in the market of Europe and China has reached 7% according to Reuters.

 

The sales in 2024 have decreased substantially relating electric vehicles. The given fact increases company pressure as more tough EU targets on harmful substance emissions are coming into force in the beginning of 2025, which can cause heavy fines for manufacturers that do not increase electric vehicle sale
